Do I meet the eligibility requirements?

Who qualifies as a caregiver under Medicaid rules in Massachusetts?

Each state has its own requirements. In Massachusetts you get paid for caring for a friend or family member if:

Caregiver

  • Is 18+ years old
  • Must reside with the care recipient to provide constant support
  • Cannot be a spouse or legal guardian of the care recipient
  • Can provide the care required by the care recipient
  • is enrolled with an AFC provider, e.g. Entyre Care

Care recipient

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Needs assistance with at least 1+ activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Is enrolled in a state Medicaid program

    Key requirements for enrollment through Entyre Care:
    • You are willing to care/already care for a friend or relative
    • You are at least 18 years old

  2. Personal visit

    As part of a personal visit to the care recipient’s home, one of our registered nurses will assess the individual care needs together with you.

  3. Get enrolled

    The family caregiver receives an agreement from Entyre Care and is compensated of to $1,500 monthly for providing care.

  4. Done: Care for a friend or family member and receive monthly compensation.

    From the moment you sign, you’ll receive monthly compensation for caring for your loved one.
    Your dedicated nurse will visit you regularly, offering both professional guidance and emotional support.
